It Takes a Big Heart to Shape

Little Minds

There are over 8,000 babies born every year in Pinellas County. Getting every one of them ready for kindergarten by the time they are five years old is a job that takes every one of us living alongside them — from friends, families, teachers, and neighbors, to the folks who live and work with them and their caregivers.

Be Part of the Change

Would you like to lend a hand? We need committed community members for a wide variety of opportunities to help us achieve our goal of getting every young child ready for kindergarten. Can you:

  • Share your early childhood story?
  • Inform your friends and neighbors about early childhood priorities?
  • Help families and caregivers find and register for programs and services?
  • Promote Family-Friendly Business policies in your place of work?

Learn More About Joining a Work Group

Roll up your sleeves and get involved in the granular work of Thrive by Five with one of three Work Groups. Work Group members are helping inform decisions and helping execute action items that translate into real change. A range of skills and knowledge bases are needed and welcomed, time commitments can be flexible, and many team members bring value back to their organizations, alongside strengthening the wider early development network in Pinellas.

Support Thrive by Five on Your Terms

Not everyone has the time or ability to volunteer. Fortunately, there are many ways to support Thrive by Five’s mission to build an early childhood system that’s equitable, accountable, and responsive.

Do you have a few dollars to support a early learning center that serves babies from low-income neighborhoods? Can you lend your voice and amplify the cause of low-wage childcare teachers? Do you want to be a leader in the FAMILY FRIENDLY WORKPLACE movement? There are countless ways you can help the efforts of Thrive by Five, from joining a work group to calling your elected official.

Donate

Donations support the work of Thrive by Five, from support and assistance for young children and their families to resources and boosters for early childhood service providers, facilitating Family-Friendly Workplaces, and advocating for the County’s youngest in various other capacities, all alongside efforts to help streamline collaboration among a vast network of partners and stakeholders.

We accept support from individuals, organizations, businesses, and as legacy giving. To discuss opportunities to support Thrive by Five through charitable giving, contact Dr. Diana Santangelo.
